			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Welcome to the Human-Centred Computing Lab at the <a href="http://www.canberra.edu.au/faculties/ise">Faculty of Information&nbsp;Sciences and Engineering</a> at the University of Canberra!</p>
<p>The HCC Lab&#039;s mission is to perform world-leading research in all aspects of human-computer interaction (HCI) / human-machine interaction (HMI). The core researchers for the HCC Lab include:</p>

<p>Our current research focus is on:</p>
<ul>
<li>Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), including Auditory-Visual ASR</li>
<li>Speaker Recognition / Verification / Authentication</li>
<li>Face and Facial Feature Tracking</li>
<li>Facial Expression Recognition</li>
<li>Affective Computing, Affective Sensing</li>
<li>Multimodal HCI</li>
</ul>
<p>The HCC Lab is a core project partner in the $3.4M ARC &amp; NHMRC-funded Thinking Systems grant <em>&quot;From Talking Heads to Thinking Heads&quot;</em>. For more information, please visit the <a href="http://thinkinghead.edu.au/">Thinking Head website</a>.</p>
